Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and parts required for the repair.
  • Disconnect the vehicle battery to ensure safety while working on electrical components.
2. Throttle Body Cleaning
  • Tools Required: Throttle body cleaner, soft cloth, screwdriver set.
  • Remove the air intake duct to access the throttle body.
  • Spray throttle body cleaner onto a soft cloth and wipe the throttle plate and inside of the throttle body.
  • Ensure the throttle plate moves freely and is not sticking.
3. Replace Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor
  • Tools Required: Socket set, torque wrench.
  • Remove the trim panel covering the accelerator pedal assembly.
  • Disconnect the electrical connector from the accelerator pedal position sensor.
  • Remove the sensor from its mounting location.
  • Install the new sensor and reconnect the electrical connector.
  • Secure the sensor with the appropriate torque specifications.
