Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: Socket set, torque wrench, extension bar, spark plug socket (usually 5/8"), anti-seize compound.
  • Disconnect the battery to prevent any electrical issues.
  • Allow the engine to cool completely before starting the work.
2. Remove Engine Cover (if applicable)
  • Tools Required: Socket set.
  • Locate and remove any screws or bolts securing the engine cover.
  • Lift off the engine cover carefully to access the ignition components.
3. Remove Ignition Coils
  • Tools Required: Socket set.
  • Disconnect the electrical connectors from each ignition coil.
  • Remove the bolts securing the ignition coils using a socket wrench.
  • Gently pull out each ignition coil to access the spark plugs.
4. Remove Old Spark Plugs
  • Tools Required: Spark plug socket, ratchet.
  • Insert the spark plug socket onto the spark plug and loosen it by turning counterclockwise.
  • Carefully remove the spark plug from the cylinder head.
5. Install New Spark Plugs
  • Tools Required: Torque wrench, anti-seize compound.
  • Apply a small amount of anti-seize compound to the threads of the new spark plug.
  • Install the new spark plug by hand to avoid cross-threading, then tighten it with the spark plug socket.
  • Use a torque wrench to tighten the spark plug to the manufacturer's specified torque (usually around 20-30 Nm, check specifications).
6. Reinstall Ignition Coils
  • Tools Required: Socket set.
  • Place each ignition coil back into its respective position and secure with the bolts.
  • Reconnect the electrical connectors to each ignition coil.
7. Reattach Engine Cover
  • Secure the engine cover back in place with screws or bolts removed earlier.
8. Reconnect Battery
  • Reconnect the negative terminal of the battery to restore electrical power to the vehicle.
