Repair Instructions

1. Prepare the Vehicle

4. Install New Brake Pads

   • Apply brake grease to the back of the new brake pads and the contact points on the caliper bracket to prevent squealing.
   • Position the new pads into the caliper bracket.

5. Reinstall Caliper

   • Compress the brake caliper piston using a C-clamp or brake caliper press to make space for the new pads.
   • Reinstall the caliper over the new pads and secure it with the mounting bolts. Use a torque wrench to tighten the bolts to the manufacturer’s specifications.

6. Reattach Wheel and Lower Vehicle

   • Reattach the wheel and hand-tighten the lug nuts.
   • Lower the vehicle from the jack stands and use a torque wrench to tighten the lug nuts to the specified torque.

7. Test the Brakes

   • Press the brake pedal a few times to ensure the brake pads are seated properly.
   • Conduct a test drive to confirm the absence of noise and proper brake operation.
