Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: OBD-II scanner, dipstick, UV dye, UV light, oil pressure tester, rags.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is cool.
  • Disconnect the battery if necessary for safety.
2. Identify and Replace Faulty Components

A. Valve Cover Gasket

  1. Remove the engine cover if applicable.
  2. Unbolt and carefully remove the valve cover.
  3. Inspect the old gasket for wear or damage.
  4. Clean the mating surfaces thoroughly.
  5. Install a new valve cover gasket and reassemble.

B. Oil Pan Gasket

  1. Drain the engine oil into a suitable container.
  2. Remove the oil pan bolts.
  3. Carefully detach the oil pan from the engine block.
  4. Remove the old gasket material and clean the surfaces.
  5. Place a new oil pan gasket and reassemble the oil pan, ensuring to torque the bolts to the manufacturer's specifications.

C. Oil Filter

  1. Remove the old oil filter using an oil filter wrench.
  2. Lubricate the rubber gasket on the new oil filter with a small amount of new oil.
  3. Install the new oil filter, ensuring it is snug but not overtightened.
3. Refill Engine Oil
  1. Refill the engine with the appropriate type and quantity of engine oil as specified in the owner’s manual.
  2. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes, then check for leaks around replaced components.
