Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: OBD-II scanner, socket set, torque wrench, oil catch pan, jack and jack stands, multimeter.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is off and cool.
2. Verify Oil Quality and Level
  • Remove the dipstick and wipe it clean.
  • Reinsert the dipstick and remove it again to check the oil level. If low, add the correct oil type (refer to owner's manual).
  • If the oil appears dirty or contaminated, consider performing an oil change with high-quality oil.
3. Inspect and Replace Oil Filter
  • Tools Required: Oil filter wrench.
  • Place the oil catch pan under the oil filter.
  • Use the oil filter wrench to remove the old oil filter.
  • Apply a small amount of new oil to the rubber seal of the new oil filter.
  • Install the new filter by hand until snug, then tighten according to manufacturer specifications (usually a ¾ turn after contact).
4. Check and Replace Ignition Components (if necessary)
  • Remove the engine cover if applicable.
  • Disconnect the electrical connectors from the ignition coils.
  • Remove the ignition coils and inspect the spark plugs.
  • Replace any worn or damaged spark plugs or coils with OEM parts.
  • Reinstall the coils and reconnect the electrical connectors.
5. Inspect for Vacuum Leaks
  • Conduct a visual inspection of all vacuum hoses and connections for cracks or disconnections.
  • Use a smoke machine or carb cleaner to detect leaks while the engine is running.
  • Replace any damaged hoses or components.
