• Gather all necessary tools and parts.
• Ensure the vehicle is parked on a flat surface, and the engine is cool.
• Disconnect the battery to ensure safety while working on electrical connections.

2. Locate and Repair the Leak

1. Identify the Source of the Leak

   • Use a flashlight to inspect the engine bay for oil leaks.
   • Clean any oily areas with degreaser to identify the source.

2. Replace Gaskets or Seals as Necessary

   • If the valve cover gasket is leaking, remove the engine cover (if applicable) and unscrew the valve cover bolts. Carefully lift the cover and replace the old gasket with a new one, ensuring the surface is clean and free of debris.
   • For the oil pan gasket, drain the engine oil completely and remove the oil pan by unscrewing the bolts. Replace the gasket and reinstall the oil pan, ensuring it’s secured to the manufacturer’s torque specifications.

3. Replace Oil Filter (if applicable)

• Use an oil filter wrench to remove the old oil filter.
• Apply a thin layer of new oil to the rubber O-ring on the new filter and install it, tightening it according to the manufacturer’s specifications.

4. Refill Engine Oil
