Solution
1. Preparation
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a flat surface and the engine is off.
  • Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical shocks.
  • Gather all necessary tools and parts.
2. Check and Replace Fuel Filter
  • Locate the fuel filter in the fuel line.
  • Use a socket set to disconnect the fuel lines from the filter.
  • Replace the old fuel filter with a new one, ensuring proper orientation.
  • Reconnect the fuel lines and check for leaks.
3. Inspect and Replace Spark Plugs
  • Remove the ignition coil covers using a socket set.
  • Disconnect the ignition coils and pull them out.
  • Remove the old spark plugs with a spark plug socket.
  • Install new spark plugs, ensuring they are gapped correctly (consult specifications).
  • Reinstall the ignition coils and covers.
4. Clean the Mass Airflow Sensor
  • Locate the MAF sensor in the intake duct.
  • Carefully disconnect the electrical connector.
  • Remove the MAF sensor using a screwdriver.
  • Clean the MAF sensor with MAF cleaner spray and let it dry completely before reinstalling.
5. Test and Replace Ignition Coils (if necessary)
  • Use an ohmmeter to test each ignition coil for continuity.
  • Replace any faulty ignition coils by disconnecting the electrical connector and removing the coil.
  • Install new ignition coils and reconnect the electrical connectors.
