Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: OBD-II scanner, jack and jack stands, socket set, torque wrench, transmission fluid pump.
  • Safety Warning: Ensure the vehicle is securely lifted and supported before working underneath it.
2. Transmission Fluid Replacement
  1. Drain Old Fluid:

    • Locate the transmission drain plug and remove it using a socket wrench.
    • Allow the fluid to drain completely into a suitable container.
  2. Replace Transmission Filter (if applicable):

    • Remove the transmission pan bolts and carefully take off the pan.
    • Replace the transmission filter and gasket as needed.
  3. Add New Fluid:

    • Reinstall the transmission pan and tighten the bolts to the manufacturer’s torque specification.
    • Use a transmission fluid pump to add new fluid through the fill plug to the correct level.
3. Replace Worn Mounts
  1. Remove Old Mounts:

    • Support the transmission with a jack.
    • Remove bolts securing the transmission mounts to the frame and the transmission.
    • Take out the old mounts.
  2. Install New Mounts:

    • Position new mounts in place and secure them with bolts, ensuring proper alignment.
    • Tighten to the manufacturer’s torque specifications.
4. Inspect and Repair Driveshaft
  1. Check Driveshaft Alignment:

    • Inspect the driveshaft for any misalignment or signs of wear.
    • If necessary, realign or replace the driveshaft.
  2. Replace CV Joints:

    • If CV joints are worn, remove the driveshaft and replace the faulty joints.
    • Reinstall the driveshaft and ensure all couplings are secured.
