Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools: flathead screwdriver, multimeter, and replacement fuses.
  • Ensure the vehicle is turned off and parked in a safe area.
2. Access the Fuse Box
  • Open the driver's side door and locate the fuse box cover under the dashboard.
  • Use a flathead screwdriver to gently pry open the fuse box cover, if necessary.
  • Alternatively, if checking the trunk fuse box, open the trunk and locate the cover on the right side.
3. Inspect Fuses
  • Refer to the fuse diagram located on the inside of the fuse box cover or in the owner's manual to identify the correct fuse for the malfunctioning component.
  • Carefully pull out the fuse using a fuse puller or your fingers.
  • Visually inspect the fuse for a broken filament or discoloration.
4. Test Fuses with Multimeter
  • Set the multimeter to the continuity setting.
  • Touch the multimeter probes to each end of the fuse.
  • If the multimeter beeps or shows continuity, the fuse is good; if not, it is blown and needs replacement.
5. Replace Blown Fuses
  • Replace any blown fuses with new fuses of the same amperage (found on the fuse itself or in the owner's manual).
  • Firmly press the new fuse into the fuse holder until secure.
6. Reassemble and Test
  • Reattach the fuse box cover and ensure it is securely in place.
  • Start the vehicle and test the previously malfunctioning electrical components to ensure functionality.
