Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is cool.
  • Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical shorts.
2. Clean the Throttle Body
  • Remove the air intake duct to access the throttle body.
  • Using throttle body cleaner and a soft brush, clean the throttle plate and surrounding area.
  • Reassemble the air intake duct and reconnect it securely.
3. Replace Faulty Sensors
  • If the accelerator pedal position sensor or MAF sensor tests faulty:
    1. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the respective sensor.
    2. Remove the screws or bolts securing the sensor and take it out.
    3. Install the new sensor in reverse order, ensuring it is correctly aligned.
    4. Reconnect the electrical connectors.
4. Reprogram the ECU (if necessary)
  • If the ECU software is outdated:
    1. Connect the OBD-II scanner or manufacturer-specific tool.
    2. Follow the manufacturer's instructions to update the ECU software.
    3. Reset any fault codes stored in the system after the update.
5. Final Checks
  • Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
  • Start the engine and let it idle to monitor for any irregularities.
  • Test the throttle response by gradually pressing the accelerator pedal.
