Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather all tools and parts before starting the repair.
  • Ensure the vehicle is on a flat surface and secure it with wheel chocks.
  • Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery to prevent electrical shorts.
2. Inspect and Replace Wheel Speed Sensor
  1. Remove the Wheel

    • Use a jack to lift the front of the vehicle and secure it on jack stands.
    • Remove the wheel lug nuts with a socket wrench and take off the wheel.
  2. Access the Wheel Speed Sensor

    • Locate the wheel speed sensor near the brake rotor, typically mounted on the wheel hub or control arm.
    • Disconnect the wiring harness from the sensor by pressing the release tab.
  3. Remove the Old Sensor

    • Unscrew the sensor from its mounting point using the appropriate socket or wrench.
    • Carefully pull the sensor out of its housing, taking care not to damage adjacent components.
  4. Install the New Sensor

    • Insert the new wheel speed sensor into the mounting hole.
    • Secure it in place by tightening the mounting bolt to the specified torque value (consult the service manual for the exact torque specification).
    • Reconnect the wiring harness to the new sensor.
3. Reassemble and Test
  1. Reinstall the Wheel

    • Place the wheel back onto the hub and hand-tighten the lug nuts.
    • Lower the vehicle off the jack stands and then tighten the lug nuts to the specified torque.
  2. Reconnect the Battery

    • Reconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
  3. Clear Codes and Test Drive

    • Use the OBD-II scanner to clear the C0035 code.
    • Take the vehicle for a test drive to ensure the ABS and DSC systems are functioning correctly.
