Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Disconnect the battery to ensure safety while working on the electrical components.
2. Remove Engine Cover
  • Unscrew the bolts securing the engine cover using a socket set.
  • Carefully lift off the engine cover and set it aside.
3. Disconnect Fuel Injector Wiring
  • Locate the fuel injector connectors.
  • Carefully unplug each connector by pressing the locking tab and pulling it off.
4. Remove Fuel Rail
  • Relieve the fuel system pressure by removing the fuel pump fuse and starting the engine until it stalls.
  • Use a socket set to remove the bolts securing the fuel rail.
  • Gently pull the fuel rail away from the engine, ensuring not to damage the fuel injectors.
5. Replace or Clean Fuel Injectors
  • If replacing, remove the old injectors from the fuel rail by twisting and pulling them out.
  • If cleaning, soak the injectors in a professional fuel injector cleaner solution and use an ultrasonic cleaner if available.
  • Install new or cleaned injectors by lubricating the O-rings with engine oil and pushing them into place.
6. Reassemble Components
  • Reinstall the fuel rail by aligning it with the intake manifold and securing it with bolts.
  • Reconnect the fuel injector wiring connectors.
  • Reinstall the engine cover and secure it with the bolts.
7. Reconnect Battery and Test
  • Reconnect the battery.
  • Start the engine and check for leaks around the fuel injectors and rail.
  • Monitor engine performance to ensure proper operation.
