Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and parts needed.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is cool.
  • Disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shorts.
2. Replace Ignition Coil
  • Sub-steps:
    1. Remove the engine cover if necessary.
    2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the ignition coil for cylinder 2.
    3. Unbolt the ignition coil using a socket set.
    4. Remove the ignition coil from the spark plug well.
    5. Install the new ignition coil and tighten to manufacturer's specifications (typically around 8-10 Nm).
    6. Reconnect the electrical connector.
3. Replace Spark Plug
  • Sub-steps:
    1. Remove the ignition coil (if not already done).
    2. Use a spark plug socket to unscrew the old spark plug from cylinder 2.
    3. Inspect the old plug for wear and compare it with the new one.
    4. Apply anti-seize lubricant to the threads of the new spark plug.
    5. Install the new spark plug and tighten to the specified torque (usually around 25 Nm).
    6. Reinstall the ignition coil.
4. Test Fuel Injector
  • Sub-steps:
    1. Disconnect the electrical connector from the fuel injector for cylinder 2.
    2. Use a noid light or multimeter to check for electrical signals to the injector.
    3. If no signal is present, trace back to the wiring or ECU.
    4. If the signal is present, consider using a fuel injector cleaner or replacing the injector if it’s clogged.
5. Reconnect Battery
  • Reconnect the battery terminals securely.
