Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: Flathead screwdriver, Torx screwdriver (T20)
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is off.
  • Disconnect the battery if necessary for safety.
2. Access the Cabin Air Filter
  1. Open the glove compartment and remove any contents.
  2. Locate the two stops on either side of the glove compartment and gently push them inward to allow the glove compartment to fully drop down.
  3. Remove the screws (if applicable) securing the cabin air filter access panel using a Torx screwdriver.
3. Remove the Old Cabin Air Filter
  1. Carefully pull the access panel away to expose the cabin air filter.
  2. Slide the old cabin air filter out of its housing. Note the orientation of the filter for proper installation of the new one.
4. Install the New Cabin Air Filter
  1. Unbox the new cabin air filter and ensure it is clean and free from damage.
  2. Slide the new cabin air filter into the housing, ensuring it is oriented correctly (check for airflow direction arrows).
  3. Reattach the access panel by securing it with screws (if applicable).
5. Reassemble the Glove Compartment
  1. Lift the glove compartment back into position.
  2. Reinsert the stops on either side to secure the glove compartment in place.
  3. Replace any items removed from the glove compartment.
6. Final Check
  • Reconnect the battery if it was disconnected.
  • Start the vehicle and run the HVAC system to check for proper air flow and absence of odors.
