Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and parts needed for the repair.
  • Park the vehicle on a flat surface and engage the parking brake.
  • Use jack stands to lift the vehicle safely and remove the wheels.
2. Inspect and Replace Worn Components
  • Suspension Struts/Shocks:

    • Remove the retaining bolts securing the strut/shock to the hub.
    • Disconnect the upper strut mount from the chassis.
    • Remove the strut/shock assembly.
    • Replace with new struts/shocks and reassemble in reverse order. Torque specifications: 60 Nm for lower bolts and 25 Nm for upper bolts.
  • Control Arms:

    • Remove bolts securing the control arm to the chassis and wheel hub.
    • Inspect bushings for wear and replace if necessary.
    • Install new control arms and torque to manufacturer specifications (typically around 90 Nm).
  • Sway Bar Links:

    • Disconnect the sway bar link from the sway bar and control arm.
    • Install new sway bar links and torque to proper specifications (about 40 Nm).
3. Reassemble and Reinstall
  • Reinstall the wheels and lower the vehicle.
  • Ensure all components are secured and tightened according to specifications.
