Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Disconnect the battery to ensure safety while working on electrical components.
2. Inspect and Clean Throttle Body
  • Remove the throttle body from the intake manifold.
  • Use a throttle body cleaner and a soft cloth to clean the inside of the throttle body.
  • Reinstall the throttle body, ensuring all connections are secure.
3. Replace Air Filter
  • Locate the air filter housing.
  • Open the housing and remove the old air filter.
  • Install a new air filter ensuring it fits snugly.
4. Test and Replace Fuel Pump (if necessary)
  • Connect a fuel pressure gauge to the fuel rail.
  • Turn on the ignition without starting the engine to check fuel pressure.
  • If pressure is below specifications, replace the fuel pump.
  • To replace, depressurize the fuel system, disconnect the battery, remove the fuel pump assembly from the tank, and install a new pump.
5. Inspect and Replace Ignition Components
  • Remove the ignition coils and inspect spark plugs for wear, carbon buildup, or damage.
  • Replace any faulty spark plugs and ignition coils.
  • Reinstall the ignition components and reconnect the battery.
6. Clean or Replace Mass Airflow Sensor
  • Remove the MAF sensor from the intake duct.
  • Clean the sensor with MAF cleaner, avoiding touching the sensing elements.
  • Reinstall the MAF sensor. If cleaning does not solve the issue, replace the sensor.
