Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools: OBD-II scanner, multimeter, socket set, and screwdrivers.
  • Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery to ensure safety.
2. Inspect and Replace Fuses
  • Locate the fuse box and remove the cover.
  • Identify the appropriate fuse for the windshield wipers using the fuse diagram.
  • Pull the fuse out using a fuse puller and inspect it for damage (blown fuse).
  • Replace with a new fuse of the same amperage if blown.
3. Test and Replace Wiper Motor
  • If the fuse is intact, reconnect the battery and test the wiper motor by activating the wipers.
  • If the motor does not operate, remove the wiper assembly by:
    • Unscrewing the wiper arms using a socket set.
    • Removing the cowl panel to access the wiper motor.
  • Disconnect the electrical connector from the motor.
  • Connect the motor directly to a power source (12V) to check functionality.
  • If the motor does not operate, replace it with a new one.
4. Inspect and Replace Wiper Relay
  • Locate the relay for the windshield wipers in the relay box.
  • Remove the relay and test it with a multimeter for continuity.
  • If faulty, replace the relay with a new one.
5. Check and Repair Wiring
  • Inspect the wiring harness connected to the wiper motor and control stalk for any signs of wear or damage.
  • Repair any damaged wires using appropriate connectors and electrical tape.
