Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: OBD-II scanner, socket set, torque wrench, vacuum gauge, cleaning supplies (e.g., throttle body cleaner), multimeter.
  • Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent electrical shorts.
  • Allow the engine to cool down before beginning any work.
2. Replace Spark Plugs
  1. Remove the engine cover (if applicable) by unscrewing any fasteners.
  2. Disconnect the ignition coils by unplugging the electrical connectors.
  3. Remove the ignition coils using a socket set and carefully pull them out.
  4. Unscrew the old spark plugs using a spark plug socket.
  5. Inspect the spark plugs for wear; replace them if they show signs of damage or excessive wear.
  6. Install new spark plugs to the manufacturer's recommended torque specification (usually around 15-20 Nm).
  7. Reinstall the ignition coils and reconnect the electrical connectors.
  8. Replace the engine cover.
3. Clean or Replace Throttle Body
  1. Remove the air intake duct connected to the throttle body by loosening the clamps and disconnecting any sensors.
  2. Clean the throttle body using throttle body cleaner and a clean cloth. Ensure the throttle plate moves freely.
  3. If necessary, replace the throttle body with a new unit, ensuring proper sealing with gaskets.
  4. Reconnect the air intake duct and ensure all clamps are tight.
4. Check and Replace Vacuum Hoses
  1. Inspect all vacuum hoses for cracks, tears, or loose connections.
  2. Replace any damaged hoses with new, OEM-spec hoses.
  3. Ensure all connections are secure and tight.
5. Inspect and Replace Ignition Coils (if necessary)
  1. If the diagnostic steps indicated faulty ignition coils, remove them as described in the spark plug section.
  2. Install new ignition coils, ensuring they are seated properly.
  3. Reconnect the electrical connectors.
