Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and parts.
  • Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical shorts.
2. Remove Components
  • Tools Required: Socket set, torque wrench, jack, jack stands, and a transmission jack.
  • Raise the vehicle and support it securely on jack stands.
  • Remove the front wheels.
  • Disconnect the drive shaft: Unbolt and slide it out of the transmission.
  • Remove the starter motor for easier access to the clutch assembly.
3. Remove Transmission
  • Unbolt the transmission from the engine using a socket set.
  • Support the transmission with a transmission jack and carefully lower it to remove it from the engine.
4. Inspect and Replace Clutch Components
  • Tools Required: Torque wrench, clutch alignment tool.
  • Remove the old clutch disc and pressure plate.
  • Inspect the flywheel; if it is damaged or worn, it may need resurfacing or replacement.
  • Install the new clutch disc and pressure plate using the clutch alignment tool.
  • Torque the pressure plate bolts to the manufacturer’s specifications (usually around 25-30 Nm).
5. Reinstall Transmission
  • Lift the transmission back into place, aligning it with the engine.
  • Securely bolt the transmission to the engine and reconnect the drive shaft.
  • Reinstall the starter motor.
6. Final Assembly
  • Reconnect the front wheels.
  • Lower the vehicle from the jack stands.
  • Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
