Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is off.
  • Disconnect the battery to prevent any electrical issues.
2. Inspect and Replace the Brake Booster
  1. Remove the Engine Cover (if applicable)

    • Use a socket set to remove bolts securing the engine cover.
  2. Disconnect Brake Booster Vacuum Hose

    • Locate the vacuum hose connected to the brake booster.
    • Carefully disconnect the hose, checking for cracks or damage.
  3. Remove the Brake Booster

    • Disconnect the master cylinder from the brake booster by removing the mounting bolts.
    • Use a ratchet and appropriate socket to remove the bolts.
    • Detach the brake booster from the firewall by removing its mounting nuts.
  4. Install the New Brake Booster

    • Position the new brake booster in place and secure it to the firewall with the mounting nuts.
    • Reattach the master cylinder to the brake booster and tighten the mounting bolts to the manufacturer's torque specifications (typically around 15-20 Nm).
  5. Reconnect the Vacuum Hose

    • Ensure the vacuum hose is securely attached to the new brake booster.
3. Reconnect the Battery and Test
  • Reconnect the battery terminals.
  • Start the engine and check if the brake pedal feels normal.
  • Test drive the vehicle to ensure proper brake function.
