Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and parts required for the repair.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and engage the parking brake.
  • Disconnect the battery to ensure electrical safety.
2. Inspect Driveshaft
  • Tools Required: Socket set, torque wrench, flashlight.
  • Remove the undercarriage cover if present.
  • Inspect the driveshaft for any signs of physical damage or excessive rust.
  • Check the universal joints for play by manually twisting and pulling them.
3. Replace Rubber Flex Disc (Guibo)
  • Tools Required: Socket set, torque wrench, pry bar.
  • Use a socket set to remove the bolts securing the guibo to the driveshaft and transmission.
  • Carefully slide the driveshaft back to remove it from the guibo.
  • Replace the old guibo with a new one, ensuring it is oriented correctly.
  • Torque the bolts to the manufacturer’s specifications (generally around 40 Nm).
4. Rebalance Tires
  • Tools Required: Tire balancer.
  • Remove each wheel from the vehicle.
  • Mount the wheels on a tire balancer and check for imbalances.
  • Add weights as necessary to ensure proper balance.
  • Reinstall the wheels to the vehicle, ensuring lug nuts are torqued to specification (generally around 120 Nm).
5. Final Assembly
  • Reinstall any undercarriage covers that were removed.
  • Reconnect the battery.
  • Lower the vehicle to the ground.
