Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shock.
2. Inspect and Replace the Fuse
  • Locate the fuse box (usually under the dashboard or in the engine compartment).
  • Identify the AC fan fuse using the owner's manual.
  • Use a fuse puller or needle-nose pliers to remove the fuse.
  • Inspect the fuse for continuity; if blown, replace it with one of the same amperage rating.
3. Check the AC Fan Motor
  • Reconnect the battery.
  • Remove any covers obstructing access to the AC fan.
  • Disconnect the electrical connector from the AC fan motor.
  • Use a multimeter to check for voltage at the connector while the AC is engaged.
    • If voltage is present and the fan does not operate, the AC fan motor needs replacement.
    • If no voltage is present, investigate further upstream (wiring or control module).
4. Replace the AC Fan Motor (if needed)
  • Remove the AC fan assembly from its mounting location.
  • Disconnect any wiring harnesses and remove any fasteners securing the fan.
  • Install the new AC fan motor and reconnect the wiring harness.
  • Secure the fan assembly with fasteners and replace any covers.
5. Recharge the AC System (if refrigerant was low)
  • Connect a refrigerant gauge set to the AC service ports.
  • Follow manufacturer specifications to recharge the system with the correct type and amount of refrigerant.
