• Reinsert the dipstick and remove it again to check the oil level.
  • If the oil level is low, add the recommended oil type (consult the owner’s manual for specifications).
  • If the oil level is excessively high, siphon out the excess oil.

3. Check Oil Filter Installation

• Locate the oil filter.
• Use an oil filter wrench to remove the oil filter.
• Inspect the rubber gasket on the old filter for damage; ensure it did not stick to the engine.
• Install a new oil filter, ensuring the gasket is lubricated and properly seated.

4. Inspect Oil Drain Plug

• Place a drain pan under the oil pan.
• Use a socket wrench to check the oil drain plug for tightness.
  • If loose, tighten it to the manufacturer’s specification (typically around 25 Nm, but consult the manual).
  • If leaking, replace the drain plug washer and retighten.
