Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather required tools and parts.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface.
  • Disconnect the battery to prevent electrical issues.
2. Drain Engine Oil
  • Sub-steps:
    1. Place an oil drain pan under the oil pan.
    2. Remove the oil drain plug using a socket wrench (Torque: 25 Nm).
    3. Allow the oil to fully drain into the pan.
3. Replace Gaskets and Seals
  • Sub-steps:
    1. Remove the old oil filter using an oil filter wrench.
    2. Clean the oil filter mounting surface.
    3. Apply a thin layer of new oil to the rubber O-ring on the new oil filter.
    4. Install the new oil filter (Torque: Hand-tight + ¾ turn).
    5. Remove and replace the oil pan gasket if necessary:
      • Unbolt the oil pan using a socket set (Torque: 10 Nm).
      • Clean the mating surfaces thoroughly.
      • Place the new gasket and reattach the oil pan.
      • Torque the bolts to specification.
4. Check for Additional Leaks
  • Sub-steps:
    1. Inspect all replaced components to ensure proper installation.
    2. Refill the engine with new oil as per the manufacturer’s specifications.
    3. Start the engine and let it idle for a few minutes.
    4. Inspect for leaks around the oil filter and oil pan.
