Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery to prevent electrical shorts.
  • Allow the engine to cool down completely before starting the cleaning process.
2. Remove Engine Cover
  • Use a socket set to remove the screws securing the engine cover.
  • Carefully lift off the engine cover and set it aside.
3. Access Throttle Body
  • Locate the throttle body, typically connected to the intake manifold.
  • Disconnect the electrical connector from the throttle body by pressing the release tab and pulling it off.
  • Loosen the clamps securing the intake duct to the throttle body using a screwdriver or socket.
  • Remove the intake duct from the throttle body.
4. Clean the Throttle Body
  • Use a throttle body cleaner specifically designed for automotive use.
  • Spray the cleaner onto a clean, lint-free cloth or directly onto the throttle body.
  • Gently wipe the inside of the throttle body, paying close attention to the throttle plate and walls.
  • Open the throttle plate (using your hand or a suitable tool) to clean behind it.
  • Make sure to remove all carbon deposits and dirt without leaving any residue.
5. Reassemble Components
  • Reattach the intake duct to the throttle body and secure it with the clamps.
  • Connect the electrical connector back to the throttle body.
  • Place the engine cover back on and secure it with screws.
6. Final Checks
  • Reconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
  • Start the engine and allow it to idle for a few minutes to ensure proper operation.
