Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and parts required.
  • Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery to prevent electrical shorts.
  • Relieve fuel system pressure by removing the fuel pump fuse and running the engine until it stalls.
2. Remove Engine Cover
  • Use a socket set to remove any bolts securing the engine cover.
  • Carefully lift the cover off and set it aside.
3. Access Fuel Injectors
  • Locate the fuel rail and the injectors.
  • Disconnect the electrical connectors from the faulty fuel injector(s).
  • Remove the retaining bolts securing the fuel rail using a socket set.
4. Replace Fuel Injector
  • Carefully pull the fuel injector out of the fuel rail.
  • Apply a small amount of engine oil to the O-ring of the new fuel injector to ensure a proper seal.
  • Insert the new fuel injector into the fuel rail, ensuring it is seated correctly.
5. Reinstall Fuel Rail
  • Position the fuel rail back onto the engine and secure it with the retaining bolts.
  • Reconnect the electrical connectors to the new fuel injector(s).
6. Reassemble Engine Components
  • Reinstall the engine cover and secure it with the bolts.
  • Reconnect the fuel pump fuse and the negative battery terminal.
7. Test the Repair
  • Start the engine and let it idle for a few minutes.
  • Check for any fuel leaks around the injector area.
