Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical shorts.
  • Allow the engine to cool down if it was running.
2. Inspect and Replace Ignition Coil
  • Tools Required: Socket set, torque wrench
  • Remove the engine cover (if applicable).
  • Disconnect the electrical connector from the ignition coil on cylinder 2.
  • Remove the ignition coil bolt using a socket wrench.
  • Carefully pull the ignition coil out of the cylinder head.
  • Install the new ignition coil by reversing the removal steps. Torque the bolt to the manufacturer's specifications (usually around 10 Nm).
  • Reconnect the electrical connector.
3. Replace Spark Plug
  • Tools Required: Spark plug socket, torque wrench
  • Remove the ignition coil again to access the spark plug.
  • Use a spark plug socket to remove the old spark plug.
  • Inspect the spark plug gap and condition; replace with a new spark plug if worn or damaged.
  • Torque the new spark plug to the manufacturer’s specifications (typically around 20 Nm).
  • Reinstall the ignition coil.
4. Check and Clean Fuel Injector
  • Tools Required: Fuel injector cleaner, cleaning tool (if needed)
  • Disconnect the fuel injector connector and remove the injector from cylinder 2.
  • Inspect the fuel injector for clogs or carbon buildup.
  • Clean the fuel injector using a fuel injector cleaner or replace it if necessary.
  • Reinstall the fuel injector and reconnect the electrical connector.
5. Reassemble and Test
  • Reinstall any engine covers or components removed during the process.
  • Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
  • Start the engine and allow it to reach operating temperature.
