Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is cool.
  • Disconnect the battery (negative terminal).
2. Remove Engine Cover
  • Remove any fasteners securing the engine cover using a socket set.
  • Carefully lift and remove the engine cover to access the fuel injectors.
3. Disconnect Fuel Injector Connectors
  • Identify each fuel injector and carefully disconnect the electrical connectors.
  • Avoid pulling on the wires; use a flat-head screwdriver if necessary to release the clips.
4. Remove Fuel Rail
  • Relieve fuel pressure by removing the fuel pump fuse and starting the engine until it stalls.
  • Disconnect the fuel lines from the fuel rail using a line wrench.
  • Unscrew the bolts securing the fuel rail to the intake manifold using a socket set.
  • Gently lift the fuel rail with the injectors attached.
5. Inspect and Replace Fuel Injectors
  • Carefully remove each injector from the fuel rail by pulling them straight out.
  • Inspect the O-rings on the injectors for damage and replace if necessary.
  • Install new or cleaned injectors into the fuel rail, ensuring they are seated properly.
6. Reassemble Components
  • Reattach the fuel rail to the intake manifold and secure it with bolts (torque to manufacturer specifications).
  • Reconnect the fuel lines and ensure they are secured.
  • Reconnect the electrical connectors to each fuel injector.
7. Reattach Engine Cover
  • Place the engine cover back on and secure it with the previously removed fasteners.
8. Restore Fuel System Pressure
  • Reinsert the fuel pump fuse and turn the ignition to the "ON" position without starting the engine to prime the fuel system.
  • Check for any leaks around the fuel injectors and fuel rail.
9. Reconnect Battery
  • Reconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
