Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather required tools and parts.
  • Disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shorts.
  • Allow the engine to cool before beginning work.
2. Replace Spark Plug
  • Tools Required: Socket set, torque wrench, spark plug socket.
  • Remove the engine cover, if necessary.
  • Disconnect the ignition coil connector and remove the bolt securing the coil.
  • Pull the ignition coil out, and using a spark plug socket, remove the spark plug.
  • Inspect the spark plug for wear; replace if necessary.
  • Install the new spark plug, tightening it to the manufacturer’s specifications (usually around 20 Nm).
  • Reinstall the ignition coil and reconnect the connector.
3. Inspect and Replace Ignition Coil (if necessary)
  • If the ignition coil was found to be faulty during diagnostics:
  • Remove the faulty ignition coil as described above.
  • Install a new ignition coil designed for the BMW X5 G05.
  • Reconnect the ignition coil connector and ensure it is secure.
4. Clean or Replace Fuel Injector (if necessary)
  • If the fuel injector is suspected to be faulty:
  • Disconnect the fuel line and electrical connector from the injector.
  • Remove the fuel injector from the rail using appropriate tools.
  • Clean the injector using an ultrasonic cleaner or replace it with a new injector.
  • Reinstall the fuel injector and reconnect the fuel line and electrical connector.
5. Reassemble and Reconnect Battery
  • Reinstall any engine covers removed during the process.
  • Reconnect the battery and ensure all connections are secure.
