Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and parts (see Tools and Parts Required).
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a flat surface and engage the parking brake.
  • Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent any electrical issues.
2. Raise the Vehicle
  • Use a hydraulic jack to lift the front or rear of the vehicle, depending on which brake pads are being replaced.
  • Secure the vehicle with jack stands for safety.
3. Remove Wheel
  • Using a socket set, loosen the lug nuts slightly.
  • Remove the lug nuts completely and take off the wheel to access the brake assembly.
4. Remove Old Brake Pads
  • Locate the brake caliper bolts using a socket set and remove them.
  • Carefully slide the caliper off the rotor. Support it with a bungee cord or similar device to avoid straining the brake line.
  • Remove the old brake pads from the caliper bracket. Note their orientation for installation of the new pads.
