  • Disconnect the battery to prevent electrical issues.
2. Remove DPF
  • Tools Required: Socket set, ratchet, torque wrench, exhaust pipe cutter or saw.
  • Place the vehicle on a lift or jack stands for easier access to the undercarriage.
  • Remove any heat shields covering the DPF.
  • Disconnect the exhaust pipes connected to the DPF using the socket set.
  • Unplug the EGT sensors carefully.
  • Remove the DPF from its mounting brackets and take it out.
3. Clean or Replace DPF

    • Allow the DPF to dry completely before reinstalling.
  • If replacing:
    • Ensure the new DPF matches OEM specifications.
    • Install the new DPF in reverse order of removal.
4. Reinstall DPF and Components
  • Reattach EGT sensors to the new or cleaned DPF.
  • Secure the DPF back in its mounting brackets.
  • Reconnect the exhaust pipes and torque to manufacturer specifications.
5. Reset DPF System
  • Reconnect the battery.
  • Use the OBD-II scanner to clear any stored error codes and reset the DPF system.
  • Perform a forced regeneration if necessary to ensure the DPF is functioning correctly.
