1. Preparation

• Gather tools and parts required for the repair.
• Disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shorts.
• Allow the engine to cool before proceeding.

2. Inspect and Replace Air Filter

• Remove the air filter housing cover using a socket set.
• Take out the old air filter and inspect it for dirt or damage.
• Replace with a new, clean air filter.
• Reassemble the housing and ensure it is secured properly.

3. Check and Repair Fuel System

• Connect a fuel pressure gauge to the fuel rail.
• Start the engine and check the fuel pressure against the specifications for the X5 model.
• If pressure is low, inspect the fuel pump and replace it if necessary.
• Replace the fuel filter if it is clogged.

4. Clean Throttle Body

• Remove the throttle body by disconnecting the electrical connectors and intake hoses.
