Solution
1. Battery Replacement
  • Sub-steps:
    1. Use a small flathead screwdriver to gently pry open the key fob casing.
    2. Remove the old battery (usually a CR2032) and dispose of it properly.
    3. Insert a new battery with the correct polarity (+ facing up).
    4. Snap the key fob casing back together until it clicks.
2. Reprogram the Key Fob
  • Sub-steps:
    1. Sit inside the vehicle with all doors closed.
    2. Insert the key fob into the ignition slot and turn it to position 1 (accessory).
    3. Press the unlock button on the key fob for 10 seconds.
    4. Turn the key fob to position 2 (ignition on) and back to position 0.
    5. Remove the key fob and check if the vehicle recognizes it.
3. Inspect Keyless Entry System
  • Sub-steps:
    1. Open the vehicle’s hood and disconnect the negative battery terminal.
    2. Remove the panels to access the keyless entry module.
    3. Check for any loose or damaged connectors and repair as necessary.
    4. Reconnect the battery terminal and test the key fob.
