Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather all necessary tools and parts.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a flat surface and secure it with wheel chocks.
  • Disconnect the battery negative terminal for safety.
2. Remove Wheel
  • Use a lug wrench to loosen the lug nuts.
  • Raise the vehicle using a jack and secure it with jack stands.
  • Fully remove the lug nuts and take off the wheel.
3. Inspect and Replace Brake Pads
  • Remove caliper bolts using a socket wrench.
  • Carefully slide the caliper off the rotor and support it with a bungee cord (do not hang from the brake line).
  • Remove the old brake pads from the caliper bracket.
  • Check the thickness of the new brake pads against specifications.
  • Apply brake grease to the back of the new pads to reduce noise and vibration.
  • Install the new brake pads and reattach the caliper.
