Solution
1. Battery Replacement
  • Tools Required: Flat-head screwdriver, small Phillips screwdriver
  • Sub-steps:
    1. Use the flat-head screwdriver to gently pry open the key fob casing.
    2. Remove the old battery, taking note of the orientation (positive and negative sides).
    3. Insert the new battery (commonly CR2032) in the same orientation.
    4. Snap the key fob casing back together securely.
2. Reprogram Key Fob (if necessary)
  • Tools Required: None
  • Sub-steps:
    1. Get into the vehicle and close all doors.
    2. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "On" position (do not start the engine).
    3. Cycle the ignition from "Off" to "On" eight times within ten seconds, ending in the "On" position. The vehicle should respond with a chime.
    4. Press any button on the key fob within 20 seconds to program it.
    5. Turn the ignition off to complete the programming process.
