Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools: a lint-free cloth or paper towel for wiping the dipstick.
  • Ensure the vehicle is on a flat surface and the engine is off.
2. Access the Dipstick
  • Open the hood of the Ford F-150.
  • Locate the dipstick, which has a brightly colored handle for easy identification.
3. Check the Oil Level
  • Pull the dipstick out of the tube.
  • Wipe the dipstick clean to remove any oil.
  • Fully reinsert the dipstick into the tube and then pull it out again.
  • Check the oil level on the dipstick; it should be between the marked "MIN" and "MAX" levels.
4. Add Oil if Necessary
  • If the oil level is below the "MIN" mark, prepare to add oil.
  • Use the correct type of oil as specified in the owner’s manual (typically 5W-20 for this model).
  • Remove the oil fill cap, which is usually located on top of the engine.
  • Using a funnel, add oil gradually, checking the level with the dipstick frequently until it reaches the "MAX" mark.
  • Replace the oil fill cap securely after adding oil.
