Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools: small flathead screwdriver, new battery (typically CR2032), and a multimeter.
  • Ensure you are in a well-lit area and have a clean workspace.
2. Replace Key Fob Battery
  1. Use the small flathead screwdriver to gently pry open the key fob casing.
  2. Carefully remove the old battery from the fob, noting its orientation.
  3. Insert the new battery into the fob, ensuring the positive (+) side is facing the correct direction.
  4. Snap the fob casing back together securely.
3. Reprogram the Key Fob (if necessary)
  1. Sit in the driver's seat and close all doors.
  2. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "On" position (do not start the engine).
  3. Press the "Lock" button on the key fob and turn the key back to the "Off" position.
  4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for a total of three cycles (turning to "On" and "Off").
  5. After the third cycle, press the "Lock" button again to finalize programming.
