Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal to ensure safety.
  • Wear safety goggles and gloves.
2. Remove the Old Battery
  • Tools Required: Socket set, wrench.
  • Locate the battery in the engine compartment.
  • Use a socket or wrench to loosen the bolt on the negative (-) terminal and remove it.
  • Repeat the process for the positive (+) terminal.
  • Remove any securing brackets or straps holding the battery in place.
  • Carefully lift the battery out of the tray, ensuring to keep it upright to avoid spilling electrolyte.
3. Install the New Battery
  • Clean the battery tray and terminals with a wire brush if corroded.
  • Place the new battery in the tray, ensuring it's seated correctly.
  • Reattach and tighten the securing brackets or straps.
  • Connect the positive (+) terminal first, followed by the negative (-) terminal.
  • Ensure all connections are tight and free from corrosion.
4. Verify and Test
  • Reconnect the negative (-) battery terminal if disconnected.
  • Start the engine and check that all electrical systems are functioning correctly.
  • Use a multimeter to verify the voltage at the battery while the engine is running, ensuring it remains within 13.8-14.4 volts.
