  • Ensure the vehicle is in a secure environment and all systems are off.
2. Replace Key Fob Battery
  1. Use the small flathead screwdriver to carefully pry open the key fob casing.
  2. Remove the old battery and inspect for corrosion or damage.
  3. Insert the new battery ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  4. Snap the key fob casing back together firmly.
3. Reprogram Key Fob
  1. Sit inside the vehicle with all doors closed.
  2. Turn the ignition on and off eight times within ten seconds, ending in the "on" position.
  3. Wait for the locks to cycle, indicating the vehicle is in programming mode.
  4. Press any button on the key fob to program it, and wait for another lock cycle.
  5. Turn the ignition off to exit programming mode.
4. Check Central Locking System
  1. Using the OBD-II scanner, check for any error codes related to the locking system.
  2. Clear any codes found and attempt to operate the key fob again.
  3. If error codes persist, further inspect the central locking system components.
