Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and parts required for the repair.
  • Park the vehicle on a flat surface and engage the parking brake.
  • Wear safety glasses and gloves.
2. Lift the Vehicle
  • Use a jack to raise the front or rear of the vehicle, depending on where the noise is coming from.
  • Secure the vehicle with jack stands for safety.
3. Inspect and Replace Components
  • Shock Absorbers/Struts:

    • Remove the mounting bolts using a socket set.
    • Carefully pull out the old shock absorber/strut and replace it with a new one.
    • Torque the mounting bolts to the manufacturer's specifications (refer to the vehicle's service manual).
  • Sway Bar Links:

    • Remove the bolts securing the sway bar links using a wrench.
    • Install new sway bar links and tighten bolts to the specified torque.
  • Control Arms/Bushings:

    • If control arm bushings are worn, remove the control arm by unbolting it from the vehicle.
    • Press out the old bushings and install new ones using a bushing removal tool.
    • Reinstall the control arm and torque the bolts to specifications.
4. Reassembly
  • Reinstall any components that were removed for access.
  • Ensure all bolts are tightened to the correct torque values.
5. Lower the Vehicle
  • Carefully lower the vehicle back to the ground.
