Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools: small flat-head screwdriver and a new battery (CR2032).
  • Ensure you are in a well-lit area to perform the replacement.
2. Open the Key Fob
  • Locate the seam on the side of the key fob.
  • Insert the small flat-head screwdriver into the seam to gently pry open the key fob. Work your way around the fob until it separates into two halves.
3. Remove the Old Battery
  • Identify the battery in the key fob.
  • Note the orientation of the battery (positive side facing up).
  • Use the screwdriver to carefully lift out the old battery from its compartment.
4. Install the New Battery
  • Take the new CR2032 battery and place it into the compartment, ensuring the positive side is facing up as noted earlier.
  • Press down gently until the battery is securely seated.
5. Reassemble the Key Fob
  • Align the two halves of the key fob.
  • Press the halves together until you hear a click, ensuring the fob is fully closed and secure.
