Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools: multimeter, socket set, screwdriver set, wire brush, and OBD-II scanner.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the ignition is off.
2. Clean Battery Terminals
  • Disconnect the negative battery cable first, followed by the positive cable.
  • Use a wire brush to clean any corrosion from the battery terminals and cable connectors.
  • Reconnect the positive cable first, then the negative cable.
3. Inspect and Replace the Alternator (if necessary)
  • If the alternator output is below 13.8V:
    1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
    2. Remove the drive belt by loosening the tensioner pulley.
    3. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the alternator.
    4. Remove the mounting bolts securing the alternator and take it out.
    5. Install the new alternator in reverse order of removal.
    6. Reattach the drive belt and reconnect the battery.
4. Repair Ground Connections
  • Locate the ground points (usually near the battery and engine).
  • Remove the ground bolts, clean the surfaces, and reattach securely.
  • Ensure all ground wires are intact and not corroded.
5. Inspect Fuse Box and Wiring
  • Remove the fuse box cover and inspect all fuses related to the dashboard and electrical system.
  • Replace any blown fuses and ensure all fuses are seated correctly.
  • Check wiring harness for damaged insulation or frayed wires; repair or replace as needed.
