my Genesis G70 is stalling at stoplights what's causing it

Solution

1. Preparation

• Gather necessary tools and parts.
• Disconnect the battery to ensure safety while working.
• Allow the engine to cool before beginning work.

2. Clean or Replace Air Filter

• Remove the air filter housing cover.
• Take out the air filter and inspect for dirt and debris.
• If excessively dirty, replace with a new air filter.
• Reinstall the air filter and housing cover.

3. Inspect and Clean Throttle Body

• Locate the throttle body and remove the intake duct connected to it.
• Use a throttle body cleaner and a soft cloth to clean the throttle plate and surrounding areas.
• Ensure the throttle plate moves freely and is not sticking.
• Reassemble the intake duct securely.

4. Test and Replace Fuel Filter (if needed)

• Locate the fuel filter and relieve fuel pressure by disconnecting the fuel pump fuse and running the engine until it stalls.
• Disconnect the fuel lines carefully and remove the old fuel filter.
• Install a new fuel filter and reconnect the fuel lines securely.
• Reinstall the fuel pump fuse and start the engine to check for leaks.

5. Check and Replace Battery (if necessary)

• Test the battery voltage with a multimeter; it should read around 12.6 volts when fully charged.
• If the voltage is low, replace the battery with a new one.
