Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather all necessary tools and parts.
  • Make sure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is off.
  • Disconnect the battery negative terminal to ensure safety.
2. Inspect and Clean Battery Terminals
  • Remove the battery terminals (negative first, then positive).
  • Clean any corrosion using a mixture of baking soda and water with a wire brush.
  • Reattach the terminals securely, starting with the positive terminal.
3. Replace Headlight Bulbs (if necessary)
  • Open the hood and locate the headlight assembly.
  • Remove the headlight assembly cover by unscrewing or unclipping.
  • Disconnect the headlight bulb socket and remove the old bulb.
  • Install the new bulb without touching the glass with bare hands.
  • Reattach the bulb socket and cover the headlight assembly.
4. Test and Replace Alternator (if necessary)
  • Reconnect the battery.
  • Start the engine and use a multimeter to check the alternator output; it should read between 13.8 to 14.4 volts.
  • If voltage is low, remove the alternator (disconnect battery, remove belts, unscrew mounting bolts) and replace it with a new or refurbished unit.
5. Repair Wiring Harness (if damaged)
  • Locate the wiring harness leading to the headlights.
  • Inspect for any visible damage or frayed wires.
  • If damage is found, splice in new wire sections using solder and heat-shrink tubing or replace the entire harness if necessary.
