Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts:
    • New key fob battery (typically CR2032 or CR2025)
    • Small flathead screwdriver
    • Torx screwdriver (if needed for specific models)
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked, and all accessories are turned off.
2. Replace Key Fob Battery
  • Sub-step 1: Open the key fob by inserting a flathead screwdriver into the slot on the edge and gently twisting to separate the two halves.
  • Sub-step 2: Carefully remove the old battery, taking note of its orientation (positive and negative sides).
  • Sub-step 3: Insert the new battery in the same orientation as the old one.
  • Sub-step 4: Snap the key fob halves back together securely.
3. Reprogram Key Fob (if needed)
  • Sub-step 1: Sit inside the vehicle and close all doors.
  • Sub-step 2: Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "ON" position without starting the engine.
  • Sub-step 3: Press the "LOCK" button on the key fob within 5 seconds.
  • Sub-step 4: Turn the ignition to "OFF" and then back to "ON" twice, ending in the "ON" position.
  • Sub-step 5: Test the key fob to ensure it locks/unlocks the doors.
