Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools: socket set, OBD-II scanner, compression tester, multimeter, torque wrench.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface, and the engine is off and cool.
2. Replace Spark Plug
  • Remove Engine Cover: Use a socket set to remove any necessary bolts securing the engine cover.
  • Disconnect Ignition Coil: Unplug the electrical connector from the ignition coil on cylinder 1.
  • Remove Ignition Coil: Unscrew the bolts securing the ignition coil and carefully pull it out.
  • Replace Spark Plug: Use a spark plug socket to remove the old spark plug. Inspect the new spark plug for proper gap (0.043 inches for Honda Accord) and install it.
  • Reinstall Ignition Coil: Place the ignition coil back in position, secure it with bolts, and reconnect the electrical connector.
