Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools: a clean lint-free cloth or paper towel.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface for an accurate reading.
2. Locate and Remove Dipstick
  • Open the hood and secure it.
  • Find the dipstick, which is typically near the engine block.
  • Pull the dipstick out carefully, ensuring not to damage it.
3. Clean and Check Oil Level
  • Wipe the dipstick clean with a lint-free cloth to remove any oil residue.
  • Insert the dipstick back into its tube, pressing it down fully.
  • Remove the dipstick again and examine the oil level against the markings (minimum and maximum).
4. Add Oil if Necessary
  • If the oil level is below the minimum mark, determine the correct type of oil specified in the owner’s manual.
  • Remove the oil filler cap located on top of the engine.
  • Using a funnel, add oil gradually, checking the level frequently until it reaches the appropriate mark.
5. Final Steps
  • Reinsert the dipstick and oil filler cap securely.
  • Close the hood of the vehicle.
