Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools: small flathead screwdriver or coin.
  • Ensure you have a replacement battery (CR2032 type).
  • Work in a well-lit area to avoid losing small components.
2. Open the Key Fob
  • Locate the small slot along the seam of the key fob where the two halves meet.
  • Insert the small flathead screwdriver or coin into the slot and gently twist to pry open the key fob.
  • Carefully separate the two halves without damaging the plastic casing.
3. Remove the Old Battery
  • Identify the battery compartment inside the key fob.
  • Note the orientation of the battery (positive side facing up).
  • Use the screwdriver to gently pop the old battery out of its compartment.
4. Install the New Battery
  • Place the new CR2032 battery into the compartment, ensuring the positive side is facing up.
  • Press down gently until the battery is securely seated.
5. Reassemble the Key Fob
  • Align the two halves of the key fob back together.
  • Firmly press the halves until they snap back into place. Ensure there are no gaps.
6. Test the Key Fob
  • Stand close to the vehicle and test the key fob buttons to ensure they are functioning correctly.
  • Check all functions including locking, unlocking, and remote start.
