Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and materials: coolant flush kit, new coolant (Honda Genuine Type 2 Coolant), funnel, drain pan.
  • Ensure the engine is cool before starting the procedure.
  • Disconnect the battery to prevent electrical issues while working.
2. Drain Old Coolant
  • Place a drain pan under the radiator.
  • Open the radiator drain valve and allow the old coolant to completely drain out.
  • Close the drain valve after draining, ensuring there are no leaks.
3. Flush the Cooling System
  • Fill the cooling system with distilled water using a funnel.
  • Start the engine and let it run for about 10-15 minutes with the heater on high to circulate the water and remove any contaminants.
  • Turn off the engine and allow it to cool down, then drain the distilled water from the system.
4. Refill with New Coolant
  • Using the funnel, fill the cooling system with new Honda Genuine Type 2 Coolant until the proper level is reached.
  • Start the engine again and let it run, checking for any air bubbles in the system. If air bubbles are present, add more coolant.
  • Replace the radiator cap securely.
