Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and parts needed for the repair.
  • Disconnect the battery to ensure safety while working on electrical components.
2. Inspect and Replace Spark Plugs
  • Tools Required: Socket set, torque wrench, spark plug socket.
  • Remove the ignition coil(s) by unscrewing the bolts and gently pulling them off the spark plugs.
  • Use a spark plug socket to remove each spark plug, inspecting for signs of wear or fouling.
  • Replace with new spark plugs (gap to manufacturer specifications) and reinstall the ignition coils.
3. Clean Throttle Body
  • Tools Required: Throttle body cleaner, soft cloth, screwdriver.
  • Remove the air intake duct to access the throttle body.
  • Spray throttle body cleaner into the throttle body and use a soft cloth to wipe away carbon buildup.
  • Reassemble the air intake duct securely.
4. Check and Replace Fuel Filter (if necessary)
  • Tools Required: Wrench set, fuel line disconnect tool.
  • Relieve fuel system pressure by removing the fuel pump fuse and running the engine until it stalls.
  • Disconnect the fuel lines using the fuel line disconnect tool and remove the fuel filter.
  • Install a new fuel filter and reconnect the fuel lines.
5. Inspect and Replace Air Filter
  • Tools Required: None, or screwdriver if necessary.
  • Open the air filter housing and inspect the air filter for dirt or clogging.
  • Replace with a new air filter if dirty.
